See What God Has Done

Hello everyone! My name is Élisabeth Kolamou, and I am from Guinea-Conakry.
I am from an idolatrous family. After my excision (female genital mutilation) at the age of 15, I fell sick. My foot was aching, and I could not walk. During that time, I suffered a lot. I was having terrible nightmares. I used to see dead bodies, men dressed in white, and I would even see myself killing animals and seeing blood everywhere.

My parents took me to many native doctors and traditional healers, but nothing worked. We spent everything we had, but my situation did not change. After some years, I had a child, and instead of peace, my suffering continued. Those same people told me, “You belong to the class of the real idol (devil) worshippers, and your daughter has been given to the serpent.” That broke my heart.

However, one day, evangelists came to our area and told me about Jesus Christ — the one who saves and sets people free. In the beginning, it was not easy. The witchcrafts (demons) would even come to me in my dreams and say: “You can’t give your life to Jesus! You belong to us!”

However, I did not give up! I decided to follow Jesus no matter what. The Lord Jesus Christ delivered my child and me from this terrible situation.

Today, I am completely free. I am healed, I have peace, and I am no longer afraid of witch people or the devil because the power of Jesus Christ is greater than any darkness!

My dear brothers and sisters, if you are going through something like this, don’t give up. Jesus can do it for you, too. He is a living God. He loves you. He can change your story just as He changed mine.
