See What God Has Done

My name is Jean Baptiste Théa. I am from Guinea, and I live here as well. Before I met Jesus Christ, I was an adulterer and a drunkard. My life was not going well at all. After drinking, I used to cause trouble at home. I would beat my wife, argue, and sometimes even sleep with my slippers on my feet because I was too drunk to remove them. My wife told me that we needed to give our lives to Jesus Christ.

One day, some Christians came to our village to preach the Gospel. We went to listen, and that day, we accepted Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior. After my conversion, I realized that drinking was destroying my life. I began to calculate how much money I was wasting every time on drinking. I was using 50,000 GNF (c. $6), sometimes 200,000 GNF (c.$26) every time I go to a pub. Then I said to myself, “If I saved this money for a year, how much would I have?”

Since my conversion, God has truly transformed my life. I have completely stopped drinking, and today, my life is peaceful. I am now able to save money, and by the grace of God, I have even built my own house — something that once seemed impossible for me.

I thank Jesus with all my heart. If it were not for Him, I would still be lost today.

So, dear brothers and sisters, I encourage you: let us turn away from drinking and give our lives to Jesus Christ. He can change your life just as He changed mine.
