My name is Anne Marie Kolié. I am a Guinean. Before knowing Jesus, I was an idol worshipper, a drunkard, and an adulteress. I was carrying my money and most of my belongings to native doctors. I took protective fetishes from them. I was using money and roosters to get those idols. I was going to nightclubs and spending my money there. I did abortions many times. I did those things because I didn't know Jesus. I was a member of those undertaking excision (female genital mutilation).
One Saturday, while I was sitting at home, a group of Christians came to my house. They preached the word of God to me. They gave me a bible. There, I accepted Jesus Christ. I went to bed at night and played a gospel song. While listening to the song, I started crying and regretting my behavior. I burnt my idols the next day.
After accepting Jesus Christ as my Savior, my life changed. Now, I have my dignity. I am no longer a street woman. I am respected, and my money is well used. I now prefer giving my money to the servants of God.
