TESTIMONY
My name is Gnan Suah Mamy. I was an idol worshipper, a fornicator, and drunkard. Our family is famously known for being great idol worshippers.
When I went to Liberia in 1982, I started attending church, but what discouraged me was that I saw people doing the same things I did [before my salvation]. There were Christians who were worshipping idols, indulged in fornication, and drinking, which made me exit the church.
After the war in Liberia, I came back to Guinea and continued with the idol worshipping because it was a source of living for our family. One day I met a woman with whom I wanted to settle with and she was Christian. She evangelized [to] me and I gave my life to Jesus Christ under a pastor called Paul Sandy.
Since it was my wife that evangelized me and I became a Christian, the family rose against us and we vacated from our village to a different place.
Since we frequently moved from place to place, we rarely attended church, but kept our faith in Jesus Christ.
In 2005, I came and settled in N'Zérékoré where I started going to a Protestant church and it’s from there that I got baptized. After my baptism, I started experiencing the power of the Holy Spirit and it’s there that the Holy Spirit changed my life and I started serving God as the elder of the church.
In 2023, my wife passed away and that really tested my faith but I bless the Lord that the Holy Spirit strengthened me.
Am now restored, and my prayer is that God helps me forget about many worldly things and continues strengthening me to serve Him as the elder of our church.
